Core Gameplay Mechanics

  1. Card Collection and Deck Building: Players collect cards that represent various units, spells, equipment, and resources. Each card has unique abilities and stats contributing to the player's strategic options. Deck building is central to gameplay, requiring players to craft decks that reflect their strategic style and preferences, balancing between attack, defense, and utility cards.

  2. Dynamic Game Board: The game unfolds on a virtual board that represents the land of Chro’NoValis, featuring various terrains and strategic locations such as mountains, forests, fortresses, and ancient ruins. Players move their units across the board to capture resource nodes, defend territories, and engage enemy troops. The board’s layout changes with each game, ensuring a unique experience every time.

  3. Turn-Based Strategy: Gameplay is turn-based, with each player having a limited amount of time per turn to execute their moves, promoting thoughtful yet swift decision-making. During their turn, players can deploy cards from their hand, move units, initiate combat, or activate abilities, all requiring strategic resource management.

  4. Combat System: Combat between cards is resolved using a combination of the cards’ attack and defense values, influenced by additional modifiers from equipment, terrain, and active spells. Strategic placement and synergies between cards can turn the tide of battle, emphasizing the importance of tactical unit placement and foresight.

  5. Resource Management: Players manage resources such as; iron, copper, silver, gold for crafting and Chro’No Shards to deploy units, cast spells, and activate special abilities. Effective resource management is crucial to maintaining momentum and executing strategies.

  6. Quests and Achievements: Players undertake quests that advance the story, provide rewards, and unlock new capabilities. Achievements offer additional goals that players can strive to accomplish, providing both in-game and real-world rewards.
